Biografia

So d’appartenere fin da piccola al mondo visuale. Nella mia prima infanzia, mia madre frequentava un’accademia d’arte e passavo ore incantate osservando la magia della pittura. Non ho sviluppato l’abilità del disegno, quindi la mia ricerca di un mezzo espressivo è durata fino all’età di quindici anni.

Ho trascorso un anno scolastico a Vienna  e li ho conosciuto una professoressa di fotografia  della locale accademia. Quest’attimo ha rappresentato un punto di svolta  nella mia vita. La professoressa riconobbe il mio talento e la mia creatività, così nei mesi successivi mi mostrò come sentimenti e opinioni possano essere espressi attraverso la fotografia, proprio come la pittura o qualsiasi altra arte.

Quando sono rientrata a Zagabria, mi sono iscritta alla Scuola d’arti applicate e trascorsi 45 anni la fotografia è ancora il mio lavoro, hobby e amore eterno.

Amo creare lavori che appartengono all’arte contemporanea perché, a differenza di alcune precedenti tendenze artistiche, che avevano l’estetica  in primo piano, qui è importante il ruolo d’indicare le irregolarità nella società e nel mondo che ci circonda.

Quando scatto  i ritratti per me è importante catturare il carattere di una persona o l’emozione momentanea, mentre con le opere che espongo voglio mandare un messaggio chiaro, che appartiene alla critica della società.

ACTIVITIES IN CULTURE

– Since 2003, conducting photography courses, analog and digital photography

– From 2003 to 2009, head of the exhibition program of the Novigrad Italian Community. Over 60 exhibitions of renowned domestic and foreign authors were staged in that period. (exhibition set-up, photos for cataloguers, catalog design and selection of authors with an expert team).

– 2005-2019. Initiator of the cultural and tourist event “Foto ex tempore”, then as director of the event, which after 7 years gathers about sixty renowned photographers from Croatia and Europe.

– Since 2004, member or president of the jury at several regional photography contests

– 2008 menu for the county calendar – creative photography of young authors

– 2008 plaque from the City of Novigrad for leading the photo section in the Community of Italians Novigrad

– 2010, artistic director of the international photography colony in Koper/Slovenia
