The Mobile Art Action TI CANCELLO/ I CANCEL YOU is the first production of the Wind Mill Cultural Association, it was conceived for November 25th International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

The project was born from the collaboration between the artist Laura VdB Facchini and the actress Consuelo Ciatti, the art video TI CANCELLO/ I CANCEL YOU, was created to be shared through social media and sharing it is a gesture of artistic participation.

Violence against women and girls (VAWG) is one of the most widespread, persistent and devastating human rights violations in our world today remains largely unreported due to the impunity, silence, stigma and shame surrounding it.

Violence against women continues to be an obstacle to achieving equality, development, peace as well as to the fulfillment of women and girls’ human rights.

For several years now I have been dealing with violence against women using my being an actress. My show “Sangue Nostro”, which I conceived, directed and performed, is from 2013 and was born from the need to denounce, to put an end to the silence. The collaboration with the artist Laura VdB Facchini, a dear lifelong friend, wants to establish the beauty of female synergy through the power of art. Laura, like me, has always been the ‘voice of women’ through her specific means of expression. As a woman, I know well what it means to be oppressed, to be revenged, to be abused for love; and, as a woman, I feel like joining the cry of all women: never again. NUNCA MAS.
