Biography

I am an italo-argentinian artist, which mainly uses  photography, video and installation. I’m graduated in Architecture at Politecnico di Milano and I completed my studies at the University of Image, a school about image, communication and five senses.

My quest is to discover how myth and everyday life are interconnected, through symbols, legends and daily experiences. The common thread running through all my artistic work is the investigation of stereotypes and iconic images; repetitions and transmissions of concepts and images that alter the concept of truth. Often I start from what we know to investigate the alterate and toxic relational and gender dynamics.

In 2018 the book “Natalia Saurin, between myth and everyday life” has been published by Moondi edizioni, the first monograph of the editorial serie Art. Since 2000 her work has been displayed in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad.  I’m very interested in the residential dimension, I have partecipated in several artist in residence programs including, in 2011  at the Camargo Foundation in Cassis (France).
