Biography
Born in 1965 in Piaggine in the Cilento Park, I have always been passionate about artistic expression, struck by the mountain landscapes and the colors of nature; I started like children to draw and color with spirit colors and pastels. Later, already from middle school, I deepened the technique of figurative oil painting and followed some remote lessons on the subject, through the De Agostini Geographical Institute, which I then left out, dedicating myself to deepen my studies of architecture in Naples, studying on site, which I completed in 1995.
The experience of Naples made me absorb the colors of the city and their shades. During high school I created oil paintings in which I moved away from the figurative, giving the subjects a more synthetic expression. After graduating in architecture, I got married and moved to Salerno, where I had two daughters. Over the years, I have developed various projects in the field of interiors renovations, without leaving the most purely artistic expression, dedicating myself to pastels on cardboard and works with poor materials and also various collages or mixed media works even with waste materials ; I also studied clay modeling and cold glazing. I specialized in architectural and urban design and perfected in landscape architecture, doing projects from small to large scale.
I began to participate in various exhibitions in Italy and abroad ( Paris, Barcelona, Innsbruck, London ),creating larger works, in which I was inspired by the masters of contemporary art, such as Pollock, Picasso, Klee, Rauschenberg, others, always trying to keep my artistic line. Going forward I enriched myself with the history of the city of Salerno and its colors, experimenting with ceramics, although not particularly interested in its technique, in addition to that I like to restore small objects and revive pieces and parts of waste objects, decorate bottles in glass and other elements of everyday life, which become real artistic objects.
The study of the small size fascinates me, thus giving vent to the creation of bijoux, which I carry on together with the research between painting and experimental mixed techniques. I like to communicate and collaborate with other architects and / or artists with whom you show empathy. I am also interested in environmental art and its possible declinations, up to architecture, of which Le Corbusier has always fascinated me for its soft line, Alvar Aalto for the warmth of the materials and the slight organicism, Deconstructivism for the its subversive charge.
