Biography

I am a versatile artist and photographer. I live and work between Treviso and Venice.
Graduated in Art Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, drawing is my main tool of work. In 2012 I founded my first full-bodied social art project “In Violence”, in constant evolution, which runs through different phases of experimentation and artistic expression.

My artistic work is essentially based on everything that concerns the body and the emotion that expresses in its totality.The body I create is raw, suffering, aged by every kind of external and internal agent: climate, disease, mind, mood, sensitivity, emotionality. The element that makes the venous and bodily body, focuses on joints, the fingers, the breast, the knees, the clavicles, the elbows, the neck.
Everything is made evident through a tangle of signs, the filiform and continuous sign is what distinguishes my work. Sign and grooves are essential to me, and it depends on the fact that my training is about engraving.

Engraving over the years gave me the opportunity to experiment, to scratch my plates, impress violence on them, and then to make them emotionally and physically autobiographical and emotional. The materials I use are various and different from each other: graphic, pictorial, recycled elements.
What fascinates me most about my art is touch. Touching the matter, especially the paper and the gauze, allows me to feel what I feel the work I have just created.
The emotional charge that my works express is strong, probably shows the aspect that disturbs most people: the pain and transience of the body.
